The inaugural PPV for the UFC began with a bang as Gleison Tibau was on the receiving end of a thunderous knock-out from Russian lightweight, Islam Makhachev on the early portion of the night’s prelims.
Islam Makhachev (15-1) returned to lightweight action against long time veteran Gleison Tibau (40-13) who was fighting for the first time since November of 2015.
The veteran was on the receiving end of a left hook from hell just 57 seconds into the contest rendering the Brazilian unconscious.
After the fight the Russian Makhachev took to the microphone and pleaded for a top 15 fight.
Please, I’m ready for a top 15 fight. UFC. Please make it happen.
