Josh Emmett vs. Jeremy Stephens (Featherweight)
Jessica Andrade vs. Tecia Torres (Strawweight)
Ovince Saint Preux vs. Ilir Latifi (Light Heavyweight)
Mike Perry vs. Max Griffin (Welterweight)
Brian Kelleher def. Renan Barao via unanimous decision. (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)
Round 1: 10-9 Barao.
Close enough round but those leg kicks really hurt Kelleher. Kelleher did briefly drop Barao but did little else with it.
Round 2: 10-9 Kelleher (19-19) A bit of a stalemate but Kelleher did land some nice punches to enter into the clinch. Barao was briefly taken down but it has been taxing on both fighters… and the viewers up to this point.
Round 3: Kelleher landing bombs in the latter parts of the final round. Uppercut after uppercut. Barao is tough as nails but ate those for breakfast. That could easily cement the fight for Kelleher and I have him winning 29-28 Fun final round.
Marion Reneau def. Sara McMann via submission (triangle choke) 3:30, Round 2:
Round 1: 10-8 McCann.
She absolutely stifled Reneau and had her on her back throughout that opening round. If Reneau doesn’t adjust quickly, she’ll be in for a long fight.
Round 2: I talked about adjustment for Reneau and adjust she did. She took the fight to McCann and ends up with a beautiful triangle choke.
Angela Hill def. Maryna Moroz via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27):
Round 1: 10-9 Hill. Moroz is throwing kicks and punches but she’s largely punching air. Hill is landing short shots and moving in and out with precision.
Round 2: 20-18 Hill.
Hill having a lot of success in countering combinations that Moroz is throwing. Moroz looked to have a takedown but Hill side stepped well and ended up in top position. Moroz needs a finish badly in the final round.
Round 3: And it goes to the judges. 10-9 Moroz (29-28).
Hill looked to slow down quite a bit and Moroz did land a lot more in the final round than the previous two. May be too little too late however as Hill should take this 29-28
Alan Jouban def. Ben Saunders via KO (leg kick and punch) 2:38, Round 2:
Round 1: 10-9 Jouban. He has peppered the legs of Saunders who looks wobbly on his feet after eating 13 or so heavy kicks. Saunders has landed some punches of his own but Jouban’s speed advantage is putting him off completely.
Round 2: VICIOUS KO BY ALAN JOUBAN!!! That was vicious. Jouban was looking for elbows early on and Saunders’ legs gave out after another inside leg kick lands. Saunders stumbles off the fence and meets a vicious left hook and the fight is stopped. Impressive from Jouban.
