Four $50,000 post-fight bonuses were awarded after a fun night of fights at UFC Singapore with Ovince Saint-Preux earning extra money for his impressive performance against Tyson Pedro.
There was a lot to enjoy from UFC Singapore and four post-fight bonuses were issued to deserving recipients.
Ovince Saint-Preux (23-11) scored a Performance of the Night bonus after his wild submission finish of Tyson Pedro (7-2) in the evening’s co-main event.
Saint-Preux ate two big head kicks in quick succession from Pedro in the early goings but was able to clear his head and after initiating a clinch against the cage, Pedro found himself on his back with Saint-Preux jockeying for position.
The ever crafty OSP, snatched Pedro’s arm and was able to pull it through to secure a deep armbar that forced Pedro to tap.
Yadong Song (12-3-2 NC) was also the beneficiary of a $50,000 reward for his demolition job on Felipe Arantes (18-10-1- 2 NC).
In an impressive showing, Yadong was able to steamroll Arantes for much of the fight and at the very end of round two, Yadong landed a huge right elbow on a clinch break that left Arantes crumpled to the canvas.
The Fight of the Night honours went to Shane Young (12-4) and Rolando Dy (9-7-1-1 NC) who were involved in a back and forth brawl.
Young was the eventual winner of the contest with some crisp boxing and combinations that resulted in a TKO finish in the second round.
