BAMMA London – Preview

BAMMA returns this Thursday night with a huge night of fights culminating in a mouth watering super fight.

Thursday night’s aren’t usually synonymous with combat sports events nor is having a genuine ‘champion vs champion’ super fight to look forward to but this Thursday we get both.

BAMMA make their promotional return to London with an octet of fights that is headlined by Rhys McKee and Terry Brazier who are both seeking to become a two weight world champion under the promotion.

The Main Event

Lightweight champion Rhys McKee (7-1-1) defends his belt against current welterweight champion Terry Brazier (9-1) who makes the cut to 155lbs to wrestle away the strap from McKee and become a double champ.

This is easily one of the most anticipated match ups as far as UK MMA is concerned with both combatants establishing themselves as fan favourites with their all action style.

McKee last fought in March against Tim Barnett when he avenged his previous loss to Barnett by knocking him out clean in the first round.

McKee is certainly hot property and has delivered highlight reel finishes but his toughest fight to date comes on Thursday night when he faces Terry Brazier.

Brazier dethroned Alex Lohore to become the BAMMA welterweight champion in a closely fought split decision victory.

“The Dominator” is very well rounded and despite being best known for his knockout power, he has some very sneaky submission skills with his last sub coming by way of bulldog choke against Walter Gahadza in May of 2017.

It’s an intriguing contest and one that combat fans will not want to miss.
