Dana White was speaking during a media scrum after the series finale of ‘Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series’.
The Ultimate Fighter Gym in Las Vegas Nevada has played it’s part in providing some of the most historic moments in UFC history and has played host to a tremendous second series of the Contender Series this summer.
Speaking in a post fight media scrum, UFC President Dana White told reporters that the iconic gym would be closing it’s doors.
“Let me tell you something guys. We do the Brazilian TUF here (TUF gym) on Saturday and after that, this place is gone. We bought a new facility right next door to UFC HQ. This facility we got is something like over 130,000sq feet”
White was then asked about the future of The Ultimate Fighter, a show that many feel has run it’s course.
“TUF will continue. Absolutely. There’s still a huge market for The Ultimate Fighter. We averaged around a million viewers last season. It’ll go on on ESPN.”
White continued by saying that they will likely scale down on the number of series TUF has a year.
“Instead of doing two a year, we’ll probably just do one. ESPN+ maybe. But everything you see, ‘Lookin’ for a fight’, Contender Series… Everything will continue as it is.”
