The former Geordie Shore star is taking BAMMA to court after they refused to release him from his current contract.
Speaking with Ariel Helwani on ESPN on Monday night, Aaron Chalmers is in limbo over his current contract situation.
“They (BAMMA) won’t release me from my contract”, a frustrated Chalmers started. “It’s frustrating. I’m taking them to court and it’s annoying because I had such a good relationship with them.”
Chalmers has had a mixed reception from fans since his entry into mixed martial arts. The undefeated prospect has not fought since Bellator 200 earlier this year.
“Them not releasing me is holding up my future. I’m missing out on work because of this court case. I have an offer from Bellator that I can’t sign.”
BAMMA and Bellator have previously partnered up for events in the past and Chalmers’ fight at Bellator 200 in London was a one fight only deal.
The court case is still ongoing. Expect more developments to arise over the coming weeks.
