Stipe Miocic is clamouring once again for a rematch with Daniel Cormier

It has been just over six months since Miocic lost his heavyweight title to Daniel Cormier but the former champ has been vocal once again about getting a rematch.

Having defended the heavyweight title more than anybody in UFC history, Stipe Miocic (18-3) is desperate for a chance to redeem himself after a first round KO loss to Daniel Cormier at UFC 226.

Right after the fight, Brock Lesnar, a former heavyweight champion himself was brought into the cage to promote a superfight for Daniel Cormier but the proposed fight has been met with criticism because of Lesnar’s PED usage.

Cormier, who is due to retire in March, defended his belt against Derrick Lewis recently but now that Jon Jones is back in action, it appears that the wind may be blowing in the direction of a trilogy fight between “DC” and Jones at heavyweight.

Miocic has been inactive since July but has been very vocal about a rematch with Cormier and expressed his views once again today on social media.

Jon Jones is due to defend his light heavyweight belt against Anthony Smith at UFC 235 and as of yet, Cormier is not booked for a fight.

UFC officials are yet to comment on the matter.
