The UFC returns to London on March 16th and the promotion has lined up a pair of intriguing welterweight match ups for the main event and co-main event slots.
After much debate as to who would headline the upcoming card from the O2 in London, the UFC have finally announced the main event and co-main event.
Darren Till vs Jorge Masvidal earn the top billing with both fighters desperate to get back on track especially Jorge Masvidal who has dropped his last two fights against Demian Maia and Stephen Thompson.
Darren Till was propelled into a title fight with Tyron Woodley and despite being a favourite leading into the fight, the Liverpudlian suffered a big defeat and will be hoping that he can turn his fortune around against Masvidal.
In the co-main event slot, Gunnar Nelson takes on Leon Edwards. The latter hasn’t fought since June but is currently riding a six fight win streak but he comes up against the tricky Nelson who looked impressive in a bloody victory over Alex Oliveira in December of last year.
The welterweight division appears to be hotting up nicely with a bout between Anthony Pettis and Stephen Thompson scheduled for the not too distant future.
