UFC Brooklyn: Cory Sandhagen earns slick sub over Mario Bautista

Sandhagen was due to fight John Lineker but due to an injury found himself up against UFC newcomer Mario Bautista at UFC Brooklyn.

Good things come in pairs but great things come in three’s at least that’s what Cory Sandhagen must be thinking after he secured his third UFC victory with a third impressive stoppage on Saturday night.

Having opened up with a big flying knee, Bautista was able to take the brunt of it and for a brief moment, it looked like Bautista had a wake up call and found himself able to scoop Sandhagen and dump on his back. However, the momentum was short lived as Sandhagen was able to roll right into a triangle attempt that Bautista was able to survive.

Third time was the charm for Sandhagen as he was able to transition himself nicely into an armbar attempt that forced the tap from Bautista.

Following the fight, Sandhagen called for an opponent in the top 15 and has certainly been one to watch for quite some time and his 2019 got off to a perfect start on Saturday night.
