UFC Brooklyn: Dennis Bermudez retires from MMA after victory over TE Edwards

Having snapped a four fight losing streak, Bermudez went out with a victory over a lopsided victory over TE Edwards.

Bermudez was emotional on Saturday night in his post fight speech citing family reasons as his reasons for retiring. Bermudez’s Uncle has cancer and a tearful Bermudez dedicated his victory to him.

“The Menace” had a dominant unanimous decision victory and outclassed TE Edwards for three rounds with some excellent wrestling and submission attempts. Though he didn’t get the finish he may have liked, Bermudez showed his class over 15 minutes over Edwards who was all ends up for the duration of the fight.

Bermudez retires with a record of 16-9 record and with 7 finishes to his credit and the 32 year old bows out having served the UFC for 17 fights.
