Jose Aldo had originally planned to retire this year but it seems the former featherweight champion has had a change in heart.
We often see fighters retire and come back several months or years later but in the case of Jose Aldo, the Brazilian has decided to postpone his retirement.
According to a report from ESPN, Aldo has signed an eight fight extension which actually began with his fight against Alexander Volkanovski in which he lost via unanimous decision.
Since losing the belt to Conor McGregor, Aldo has fought and lost to current champion Max Holloway twice and it appears that the hunger to regain the belt he cherished for so long is still strong with Aldo.
No fight has been confirmed for Aldo as of yet but it is likely that they will be working quickly behind the scenes to get a fight sealed for later in the year.
